O’Daly Architects was founded in 1989 and has substantial experience in both public and residential architecture. Tony and Geraldine have both worked on a wide variety of projects from the design of new Government offices, the renovation of the National Concert Hall, the design of new schools and the fitting out of offices and the conservation and restoration of works at Muckross House, Killarney and Kilkenny Castle. Emer and Kate joined the practice after a number of years working with award-winning practices, Grafton Architects and Heneghan Peng Architects where they gained extensive experience in a range of projects, both in public architecture and urban design as well as residential architecture.
We believe in the importance of the experience of a building for those inhabiting it and we aim to create designs that offer moments of surprise and beauty. We are interested in working on projects in any industry that are focussed on good design. We are experts in architectural conservation and are particularly interested in working with old buildings and re-thinking the role of ornament in architecture.
